Oh, this was yesterday and I did tell at the flip. Not my fault, but car is totaled. Good car but old car and not worth fixing (to insurance), very worth fixing (to me). Insurance company has money. I do not. Turn of the screw. Young woman who ran stop sign said road was icy and I should have stopped instead of hitting her when she crossed my path. New schools new logic I guess. Cop did not agree.

Oh that is traumatic.... are you okay physically... whiplash can be nasty.... I never believed it till I had it...will the insurance company give you money to replace your car?

Yes, she was very forthcoming with both the police and the insurance agents that she did run the sign. (Also there is a witness with a US gummint seal - letter carrier that is.) But even so, it was my fault for not stopping. This is a situation where all the adults involved (even if they're on opposing sides) look over 26-year-old child's head and raise eyebrows at each other.

I just hurt all over. Insurance will only pay worth of car, cost to fix is way beyond that. So much for being frugal and loving my little old Toy.

Someone did get killed yesterday (stolen truck caused huge pileup and killed a man) so I have nothing to complain about.

And everyone involved *did* share some amusement at the logic of the girl at fault. But still that won't translate into bucks for me. Anyway, it's been about 80 phone calls and probably 80 more before it's all sorted out.

man, i had a rough start to this morning...overslept a few minutes cause the BF stayed over last night -- neither one of us ever seem to wanna get up for work when we are together...hehe

Nope. He does this every time he's off the road, couple days a week. i had to pick up a part time job at a truck stop a few years ago and he was a regular. Imagine my surprise when he moved in two houses down. My husbands had a talk with him, so now he brings the dog out with him. Think it's just a crush gone wonky, but if I keep eating twinkies, he'll lose interest!

Babs, Limewire allows you to adjust how much of your bandwidth you want to use.
100% will get you fast dowloads, but will hog your RAM.
You can also set how many you can downlaod simultaneously to limit things.
Caveat: When it sets itself up it automatically is set to 'share'. If you don't want that (and lots of hits on you for uploads hogs bandwidth as well) then change the upload settings in 'options' to limit or disable that function.

Gl am Rock was an English phoenomina of the early 70's, it's main identifying mark wasn't the clothes worn or the name of the singer (Larry Lurex anyone?) but the rhythm of the music. A very basic tribal 4 on the floor pervades glam rock.. sometimes played on the floor tom tom ala' Gary Glitter/Suzi Quatro sometimes the whole band just stomped along on the beat like Slade or T-Rex, but this was rock'n'roll.. pure and simple.

hoot -- that is the worst part about the weather -- it is in the 50's during the day and drops to the 30's at night -- I don't mind the unseasonably high temps (though Kirsten does) -- it's the incredible temp swings that get to me!
