Poor little fellow stuck his foot into the spokes of my moving bicycle and sustained a spiral tibia break. It could have been a lot worse--I had slowed down for a car. No knee or ankle displacement, no foot breaks, thank goodness. The folks at the emergency room called it the "classic toddler injury" (everyone carts 'em around in bike seats here). I felt really guilty but they said no matter what safety precautions you take they still often manage this one.
