Yes I've been to Minong many times. I love the old saloon there. And my college girlfriend and her dad own a restaurant there. I sold advertising throughout 20 counties in NW Wisconsin and this really is a beautiful area. So many lakes and forests.

hodag - Hi. I've been picking and jamming and other forms of preserving a glut of golden plums plus made 3 Christmas cakes. I know how you feel! Lots of other soft fruits and runner beans but I froze those. Next up is pears... will bottle some and jam some. The season of mists and mellow fruitfulness can be exhausting when it's very fruitful, can't it?
