I have 2 sets of people i associate on a regular basis... that are separate to eachother completely... my what western culture says is "normal" friends... and a great many middle eastern muslim friends... many of whom are veiled... and....when the 2 collide my "normal" friends are always taken aback with my ease of communication etc... and my ME friends are always confused that I can relate so well with them and yet have "friends" who are so obviously "distressed" by the "terrorists"

Kayaking was magnifico! Super sunny but temps started at 47 and rose to 55. The water was cold so stepping in was frigid (we don't have the waterproof boots yet). We apddled around the lake, went to our island, made a fire, cooked pumpkin pancakes, napped in the sun on a bed of pine needles----a spiritual experience overall!
