It was both good and bad. The weather was fantastic, hotel very very basic and there was a lot of hassle. The normal people are the kindest you could every meet, but there are bumsters who are just trying to get money out of you and they can be quite forceful.

Yep, they didn't seem to mind. If there were two of you they worked in a pack to split you up. I certainly wouldn't go there if I wasn't with a man, and I'm not normally a shy and retiring type. It's just a shame as most people were fantastic

Unless you can be really strong and don't mind the hassle I wouldn't recommend it. People on holiday there fell into two camps, those who go back every year and those who would never go again. We were quite lucky as we were adopted by a local who looked after us out of friendship rather than with demands for money, but many people stopped in the hotel
