Hm...I have gone to walk-in clinic one time and ended up on antibiotics for the strep throat I had for about a weel already...it was the only time. I had had a fever for a few days, so I gave in

Yes, Uni--4-5 days of runny nose and fever. No cough. Kid looked great. Mom expected antibiotic because the snot turned yellow (normal process during a cold!).

Funny thing happened this morning at the vet's. They hadn't yet taken my new foster dog out of the waiting room to give her shots and take blood and weigh her whaleness . . . I started hearing a dog crying and moaning and howling from "the back" where they do various procedures . . . ohmygod I was almost in tears . . . was thinking it was probably a dog that got hit by a car in the storm and had broken bones . . . it was just heart-wrenching!
