neat thing to do with phyllo: grease a muffin tin, line with 3-4 layers of phyllo; put fresh herbs into cup, some egg, pinch shut with a twist with olive-oiled hands, bake about 15 minutes to set the eggs. very nice, easy, seemingly fancy, breakfast thing.

good advice, nance -- my mother in law (who grew up quilting) says the same things. And use cotton batting as well -- esp if you are going to hand-quilt, because the polyester stuff is really hard to sew through.

i'm not sure of the real name of the design but it is like steps. I used six shades & patternss of purple going from darkest to lightest. They are approx. 2" wide & 6" long. well, i read an article on msn saying that during the first four weeks the products are not on sale or at a special price. at the end of the four weeks, cut out the ones that you use and take them to the grocery store with you. the manufacturerss will normally have a sale going on that time so you will be tempted to purchase the product a second time - never heard that before. it does make sense though. what do y'all think?
