theres a lot of common words, but some of the words it accepts are just crap. "roadeo" (sic) !!?? And it doesnt accept "eyot" which people do say round these parts... currently on 1414 but I'm giving up, the words just seem too arbitary.

All words are checked against the Official Scrabble Players Dictionary, so you'll need to take your fight to the Scrabble nerds. :)

Is there any way to view people's word lists in the Archives? It'd be very cool to see just what words were used to get some of those massive scores. Cool site, by the way. I'm addicted.

you said all the words are checked against the official scrabble players dictionary.

what happens if they are found in dictionary.com and not the scrabble dictionary?

I just found out that the OSPD doesn't have words over eight letters long. I'll work on finding another word list.

I have switched Babble from using the OSPD to the "Enable" dictionary. It has a lot more words, and most importantly, it has "revolters". ;)

New feature alert!

I've added the ability to view everyone's word lists after a puzzle closes. Go to the puzzle archive, and click on a name in the high score list. Voilà!

Now you can see exactly what words the Babblers ahead of you on the high scores list found that you didn't. ;)
