I think its a great idea too Pug. Usually the quality of life is much improved and an aging parent is too much of a burden for even a number of 'children', the emotions get in the way all the time. I left it too late with my father and really regret that he wasnt in a place that could look after his creature comforts

My mother actually chose a place that isn't too close to any of my syblongs. But it suited her in terms of company and atmosphere and she is happy. It is hard that she is an hour away from both my sisters but ultimately a good thing because she is not a burden to anyone this way.

A lot of places today offer private apartments connected to the available services. My mom is a place like that. There are a number of couples in which one party is healthier than the other. Maybe you can show his wife that it's to her benefit as well since all the care doesn't fall only on her.
