It isn't a cost thing, per se. It is standard procedure here that cats must have appts before and after, and also be in perfect health and have all vaccinations before they get neutered. This makes sense, but I got Emma out of a barn. She may be sick. If she is, they will not spay her, and will argue I should put her down. I won't. Emma is my baby and I just want her to be happy while she is alive, and spaying is part of that. It sucks :(

He has been rather tired all week, I think because of a slight cold. This morning he suddenly said he is still very sad that the cat died (we had to have her put down two weeks ago). Then today was the day at school when the kids all did a sponsor run for a school in Malawi, and Walter ran 11 laps-- so 1320 meters! A lot for such a small boy. THEN at noon he went for a pre-arraged playdate with his friend, which they haven't done before, and during the course of this playdate he told his friend that the cat died, and his friend told him his father died! Almost a year ago but still very prominant in the hcild's mind of course. Then he got his fingers piched in a door (no lasting damage). So by the time Walter got back here at 3:30 he was Absolutely Fried, and working through a lot. I'm glad it's Friday and I can just let him sleep in the morning.
