I am planning a wakeover for my pathfinders....instead of sleepover...we doing stuff all night...we starting at a play..then going to bowl...then going to a museum that openning just for us..then off to the border to do a tour of customs in midle of nite....then..to the A&P for snacks ( they open all nite for groceries ) then...going to a bakery...off to farmer's market for set up and early shoppers..then mc donalds for breakfast..THEN they get to go home and sleep

Sounds great. I have a friend who does beading with that age and they share things as they add beads that represent something (in this case each activity) it makes it more meangingful and reinforces the bonding aspect of the night. Your idea could do the same thing.

In Israel the kids have winter camp which is 2 days and one night. The kids prepare a lot of the programming themselves. My daughter is in a dance that will be performed at some crazy hour like 2 or 3 AM. They are scheduled to sleep between 4 and 7 or something like that. No one sleeps but the girls all change into the new PJs they bought for camp!

Funny. I had a bad diapbetes scare (turned out my blood sugar machine was off kilter-not me) but it was enough for me to swear off sweets, potatoes & white flour pasta. I expected real withdrawl but it's been okay. I even had an unexpectedly long day yesterday & I was caught with no lunch. Instead of getting fast food or going into a bakery for something to hold me over, I bought some raw almonds & a couple of dates and I was fine.

I stopped adding sugar to things a long time ago, somehow that cookie first thing in the morning helps me get going and actually helps to settle my stomach. I use WW flour & lots of good things (pecans, dates) with just 1/4 cup or less brown sugar.
