Pink - Other Half is her Dad and was never sure about leaving her with her mother. I, on the other hand, always thought that a child's place is with its mother. Thinking back, I wish she'd come along with him when she was 8. A lot of 'isues' for her might then have been avoided.

Well, actually, it's 5 of us. My son (25) stilllives at home and kinda resents the intrusion, just like he did when he was 2 and his sister arrived. His sister has now left home, but lives not far away and is very supportive of her stepsister. Son still has some growing up to do, methinks.

What my daughter said to my son about my stepdaughter moving in, when she heard him getting all selfish about his peace being disturbed, was this: 'You are 25 years old and you can survive without Mum if you really need to! And, actually you should! Nat's just 14. Her Mother has rejected her, she has no ida what do do, wher she should e, what she should be, what she should do. I know she's nearly 6' tall but she's still a kid and she needs to be looked after. I know Mum still looks after us, and that can be annoying when you feel grown-up, but it's all Nat needs now. Give her a chance!'
