I asked if the pediatric consult was on, and was told 'no, went home sick'.

She tested positive for Influenza A and then the snot gets sent for spe cific testing of the strain. But we are seeing lots of H1N1 here and a 15 yr old previously healthy boy died of H1N1 10 days ago. So sad.

"My boyfriend says that Ozzie doesn't have ADHD and tossed the Adderall down the toilet, now I need a new prescription." Or parents that say Ritalin isn't working let's try Adderall and now that isn't working so can we try Concerta, etc

It depends upon how premature and immature they are, and the circumstances of their early birth. Some full term babies can actually have immature lungs and get into respiratory distress and some premies do great. Some premies have catastrophic issues.

yeah. i started to get worried because lately as soon as we get on skype he asks for my husband - who can juggle and play guitar and all kinds of cool things. and i thought, oh no, ah-TEE is no longer interesting. but apparently he talks about me all the time when anything reminds him of me. and i noticed yesterday, at a large family gathering, that when he's uncertain of something and wants protection, he seems to feel just as happy to get that from me as from his mom, if i happen to be the closest handy mother figure.
