I must tell you about the funeral we were at yesterday. It was one of husband's old bosses who had died - 86 and had still been doing a bit of TB testing up until this winter. The church was full to overflowing with farmers and we sang 'All things bright and beautiful'. It was sweet. And the surgery closed for 2 hours as a mark of respect - unprecedented!

yes starting over at 51 is not easy But at the time I choose that career (in home adult foster care) I didnt think about the heart ache and the stress it would cause mentally. It is going to be hard finding something now since I am definately not going back into that field of work 20+ years was enough

and of course I have no benefits no retirement plan, things like that you dont think about. You just think you are going to work forever LOL. well I had benefits for awhile but they took all that away when the cost of health insurance went through the roof.

I know that Bugs is a paraprofessional, mel -- around here, sometimes it is easier to get those positions (and you don't have to plan lessons or do parent conferences...) and you get benefits.

my kids want me to sign up for SSI for my fibromyalgia but I am not ready to throw in the towel yet. I am going to see how I do taking classes and being able to sit through those and then decide
