Just turned on my light box. It's 6:38 am here, pitch black and has been raining/sleeting for 2 days. The geese have pretty much departed for sunnier climes. It always takes a lot to adjust to the coming of winter...light box, chocolate, music.

There have been quite a few studies showing that the use of a light box (it is super concentrated full spectrum light) for about half an hour first thing in the morning, helps with seasonal affective disorder, aka the winter blues. It supposedly signals the pineal gland to shut down and stop producing melatonin during the day. The one I have now is the size of a calculator and was only about $50 and seemed to help last year.

I think Amazon are so efficient. Have been having trouble setting up a wireless network upstairs using HomePlugs. It turns out one plug was fault. Good morning, All. Python - our neighbor's golden retreiver had that same injury. Surgery was her only option as there was no way to keep her dog from wanting to run. Otherwise, it pretty much will only heal with total immobillization. Darn near impossible for a dog.

Judi, The vet says he will have to be immobilized after the surgery anyways or he'll ruin everything. So if we have to immobilize him anyway, I'm thinking we may as well just brace it and let it heal.

yeah! son-in-law was due to reinlist in june when AF diecovered he had asthma. They finally let him process and then told him it would have to go before a review board for final decision...they said it would probably take no less than 6 months.....they had requested early retirement with partial benefits.....received word monday that request was denied and he was (is) being discharged in 10 days (next week) with NO benefits AND NO retirement.

When I called for the monkeys, they were playing by the sea sh 5/12. My monkeys helped me for a sh 5/12 time.Then my monkeys began to act up so I had to sh 7/32 their time with me. I told my monkeys to take a hi 4/9 today after they stood in 5/10 and refused to help me with grid. My monkeys stood there all te5/10 and not moving.They ran off to play with the ho 5/12 in the field. They ran off in a sn 4/4, but I knew they were glad to leave. Monkeys are a th 5/12 in my side sometimes. Think I should send them back up no 5/12 where they came from and hi 4/5 new on 4/4. Then I will in 6/18 some new rules for the monkeys to follow.
