TO, the steel-cut oats are chewy but small (rolled oats are larger and flat). Steel-cut take about 1/2 hour to cook (or you can do them overnight in the crock pot).

About hybrids - be careful what you read about how green they are or are not, and be aware that to do a fair comparison you have to look at similar life-cycle analyses for regular cars. Also, Molly, I have a Prius that I bought 8 years ago; it's not that new a technology (and I really love my car!!!). Rare earth elements aren't actually all that rare; China has cornered the world market by undercutting prices but we could mine them here just as well (it would cost a little more, mostly due to higher labor costs here, but you would save on transportation). Lecture mode off now :-)

The super collider was a great project; we all worked very hard on it, but I think it was doomed as soon as they made a site selection (before that everybody wanted it, but once it was in a particular place everybody else was jealous).

Right now I am counting the days until I am done with student teaching. June 3. That is... assuming I get my assignment soon! They are having a hard time finding teachers to help us, considering there are really HIGH STAKES tests that happen 2/3 of the way through our student teaching.

the problem is, the student teachers are also supposed to take the lead and actually teach. We're not just an extra set of hands and eyes. And that is a scary thing when you have nurtured the children through the year, to give them to someone who is still fairly new.

I am on our Homeowners' Board of Directors, and we're supposed to be overseeing the maintenance and operation of the property. two of the sitting directors were charged with violations and our election is coming up next Mon 28th. They put out a flyer which tried to bad mouth me but it backfired..so now they've put out a new one omitting their stupidity, but still trying to ride on my coattails...I didn't givethem permission to do so when they asked...so do I breate them publicly or just go behind their backs as they've tried with me and work to get them off the board?

it's just these two amongst a slate of 11 vying for 7 seats...they included three others who want nothing to do with the also...89 units, about half are not eleigible to vote because of not paying dues or begin foreclosed...

well, I actually didn't want a single family home when I was buying..I liked living in the dorms as an undergrad, and I hated living in apts not knowing who my neighbor was or growing attached to people who moved away...

Basically, PAV I think I would ignore the flyers -- the directors have been shown to be less than honorable by their actions. Keep copies of the flyers though in case you need them in the future... establish yourself as a person of integrity, and let the others hang themselves.
