There's no such thing as "responsible breeding" though. Not when there are so many dogs and cats dying in shelters daily... each one just as valuable and lovable as those being bred and sold for money. They are all living beings. If you care about dogs, cats, etc. you just don't add to that problem, period... for every dog or cat bred and sold, more than one in a shelter has to die. That's just a fact. The one that would have had a home otherwise and the one that animal's adoption would've created room for in that shelter... giving them a chance to be adopted.

The only reason we ended up with our first dog is because some ass-shat abandoned her and her brother in the alley behind my dad's house. The two of them snuck in the back yard during the night and the next morning I found them. We kept her and gave away the brother. Our other dog was our neighborâ€™s we took in he moved back home to Ireland. So neither were adopted. But both were "rescued".

hursh, yes I agree. The only thing is, with complex ptsd it is developed in one's childhood. So it is a mechanism that is based on being powerless to change your situation in a healthier way. Once you are grown, you should be able to handle things better, but you aren't so you have to learn.

A lawyer in Charlotte, NC purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars, then insured them against fire among other things. Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars and without yet having made even his first premium payment on the policy, the lawyer filed a claim with the insurance company.
In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost "in a series of small fires." The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason: that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion. The lawyer sued....and won! In delivering the ruling the judge agreed with the insurance company that the claim was frivolous. The judge stated nevertheless, that the lawyer held a policy from the company in which it had warranted that the cigars were insurable and also guaranteed that it would insure them against fire, without defining what is considered to be "unacceptable fire," and was obligated to pay the claim. Rather than endure lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance company accepted the ruling and paid $15,000.00 to the lawyer for his loss of the rare cigars lost in the "fires."
But... After the lawyer cashed the check, the insurance company had him arrested on 24 counts of ARSON! With his own insurance claim and testimony from the previous case used against him, the lawyer was convicted of intentionally burning his insured property and was sentenced to 24 months in jail and a $24,000.00 fine.

Actually, it's more paperwork than testing. I have to do two students lists,request for funding of students who have been in ESL for 3+ years,send home parent letters, identify those mis-identified as ESL & submit paperwork and the list goes on and on. And looking like ass for her stupid ASSumption that I'd had anything to do with the dogs my parents decided to adopt when I was a kid. Our first was one my dad's parents got him from a shelter when he still lived at home... she was older when he married mom and we lost her when I was a young kid. Then our 2nd dog [same breed - labrador] was one some neighbors of ours had and due to illness/disabilitly couldn't keep anymore. They were gonig to surrender him to a shelter or rescue group if a home couldn't be found and we loved him... so we got him.

earlier treatment costs less (a big concern here), and has more positive outcomes with less invasive procedures, and often w/out hospital, which are good anywhere.
