neil, I did it because my son and his wife (and my husband) had quit and we were flying west from Montreal to Vancouver to visit them. Air Canada had banned smoking on the planes and that meant 5 whole hours without a cigarette (horrors!). So lots of reasons to quit. But when we got to their place we found that they had taken up smoking again! Gaaah! Stuck to it anyway.

How is your autumn? When do you get your first snow?

so far our autumn is just wet and windy, not much colour changes yet. It was a bit weird with a bad summer and then some hot days all of a sudden in early autumn.
Snow we never now. It comes when it comes... sometimes as early as october, sometimes as late as april. And some years, just no snow at all.

and not just any dog... a great big golden retriever... huge 50kg at least animal!!! no collar... i drove around the neighbourhood looking out for people that might be looking for a dog... nothing. So this dog is in my garage, on a doggy bed, with blankets, water and food, and soothing music.
I am the sick puppy around here!!

My sister just found a black cat up in Chicago. declawed, too skinny, and in the middle of the street. She asked me to take it. How can you say no? Especially to a black cat near Halloween. You don't know what someone might do to it.

Yay, thanks. The mastiff rescue lady is coming Wednesday at 2 to evaluate my ability to adopt. I am so excited. But, oddly, I am also horrified that my old man ( 14 y.o. dog) will be gone.

STORY OF CLUES FOR OCTOBER 9, 2011
I am almost down to my la4/4 word so here is a story of clues for you babblers. I cannot compare to the as 6/21 babblers here. My rank fa4/7s way below other babblers. I cannot complete grids as fa 4/7 as other babblers. It st4/5s me how quickly people finish grid. If the grid is too big, I just fl4/7 out give up because of my in 5/12 ability to complete the big grids.I think some have an in 6/18 ability to babble with ease, but not me.I am always looking at the chog for in5/14 on clues that others are so ni4/5 to give. My husband is driving me nu 4/5 as he waits for the computer. I do not feel like getting into a big sp4/5 with hubby so I'll give him computer.I am going to go eat my dinner,sa 5/12ed chicken, on a pl5/12. I hope it ta5/10s good. Then I'm going to watch the Sigourney movie Al5/10s I'll be back la4/4r on at half pa 4/5 nine to give clues.
