In the past 3+ years as nurse manager for the prenatal clinic, I didn't take a vacation but was hospitalized twice, and dealt with DH being in and out of the hospital 4 times a year ago (he had MS; & was told that a wheel chair would be his "new normal" back then. He's back walking and even started driving --just in the local area-- while I was out having my hip replaced.
