They finish the grid, copy and paste the word list and then delete all but the first two letters and the letters/points. It's a labor of love. And we love Dee.

If you copy a users list into an Excel document, you can type in your words as you go along. It's tedious, but it works for some.

Well, it would clearly define who can do a grid with no list and who can't. Not being competitive about this game, it wouldn't really matter to me.

Yeah Rasta, but getting clues from other people is just as "dependent" as using a list. I think the real challenge is how many words you can find without a list or clues. But that's just me.

so many of the words are non-words, or specialized words. Those who've been doing it a long tima and know all those strange things that Enable accepts.... newbies would never finish. I have a pretty big vocab, but so many I've never seen, and even the linked dictionary doesn't know...

And that's fine Rasta. I firmly believe that this is a game to be played however you want. But I don't think boasting about how well you are doing without "listing" really counts if you have been asking for clues all day, or scouring the archive of the day for clues. Again, just me.

The other day, there was someone who (I swear to God) asked for a clue for every word in the grid. Not much of a challenge, the way I see it. And yes, it's a great chat, and a great community, save a few exceptions that I will not comment on.
