Let's see. The trip down took 7.5 hours. Then I spent most of the day on my feet outside on a windy day that just barely got above freezing (fortunately it was mostly sunny). Then had dinner with jmc and spent about 6.5 hours on the bus back.

I am working pretty hard, that's for sure! Would have been up to speed faster I think if I had been more familiar with the students OR the curriculum OR started at the beginning of the year. yes, the teaching is wonderful. The stress of grading (I stepped in mid-term and will have to figure out how to grade these kids without all the data...) and of managing middle schoolers has been pretty extreme.
