That's just too young, Scrab. I had a heart attack last year...don't intend to do that again! Woke up having a heart attack....had 100% blockage of an artery. Ambulance here, at hospital, stent placed in one hour! Heart disease is strong in my family. My biological father was already dead by my age (61). Not me!

I don't believe in talking down to kids. If they're capable of learning, and they certainly are, then they should be taught correctly. It's just as easy to learn the right names as the wrong ones.

All three of my kids knew their alphabet at 18 months simply because we had plastic letters we played with and since each one had a different shape, they also had different names. They didn't learn the alphabet in order but knew all the letters and enjoyed my one-on-one play quizzing. We had fun learning that way. Educational doesn't have to be dull and if they grow enjoying learning, that never leaves. They all three have degrees now.
