Beauregard with over 4000 points yesterday??? Sheesh!
I fell asleep early last night (food coma) and never got to finish the puzzle...oh well.
Hi Bella and Karen and Special K, I really really wish I was there with you. Have a good day and I will see you but not talk to you tomorrow! Ira
yes, beauregard's score yesterday made me very sad... i was so determined to do really well, and thought i had. i couldn't see that there could possibly be more than a handful of weird and wonderful words i'd missed.... but then still someone manages to get around double my score :(
You still got a pretty amazing third place score, donkeyjacket45!
do some WORK fiona :p
this *is* work. i'm exercising my brain! ;)
if there is no philosophical terminology in the grid, it's not work. and i'm like totally determined to beat you today. it would help if you, um, weren't playing at all since that's my only chance!
There is an un. And it is absolutely useless as far as I can determine.
The optical illusion that PENIS is there is cruel indeed.
Well, if there's a 9 letter word in here today, I'm not going to find it.
Has anyone ever actually done a 25 letter word?
i can only assume that there is one every day, that one lucky person figures out. explaining how there always seems to be someone with about double the score to everyone else.
yes. i got one yesterday. they wouldn't count it though. hellooooo alastair.
Hello, LM! How's you?
just to do the math, the odds of getting a 25-letter word are 2 in 15,511,210,000,000,000,000,000,000
... good luck!
and a 25-letter word would be worth about 900 points
cbullock, how do you figure the math? Are there just 2 25-letter words in English?
yeah, only 2
at least, there are only 2 that you can make within the limitations of Scrabble/Babble tiles
of course, i'm assuming that babble has the same distribution as scrabble, ie. never two Z's in one day
and the total odds are somewhere near the upper limit of 25! (1.551121e+25)
Okay, people, own up... what's the silliest invalid word you've tried?
The girl next to me is wearing CAPRI pants. Either they exist or she's not wearing pants. I think I prefer the latter.
... today's 25-letter word :)
the problem is, it's Capri, not capri
Shame... I kinda liked the idea of imaginary pants...
As in, the Emperor's new...
if only farty was a real word
Just because the people who wrote the Scrabble-words book were too stupid to realise it...
is there a definite number of words that you can make?
There's definitely more than 80.
lisa-marie, you surely have your best hope yet of beating me today... i have so far: 63 words, 4.38, 662, and don't seem to be getting anywhere fast...
i think the 25 letter 'word' is "thrillhoisanabsoluteidiot"
i think i forgot how to spell. i hate this game.
4000+ yesterday?! wow. well played beauregard.
How many of you are IRCers?
fi - i'm on 457 and struggling. i wouldn't be worried if i was you ;)
The Walrus/Man is an IRCer
Unaware that my elbow was leaning against the mouse, I just saw the cursor move across the screen, aparently of its own volition.
For one eerie moment, I thought that some weird ouija shit was going on.
Do the spirits play babble?
ecofart is, it seems, not a word.
IRCer right here - same name and everything - yet another wonder work distraction thanks to the improv community!
if you saw this puzzle, could you find the 25-letter word?
