We had a chance to have closure and an amazing experience saying goodbye

I had a friend in Iowa who passed from cancer and I sat in her hospice room every day for 2 weeks then the day before she passed she asked I not be present the next day. I asked why? She said she needed the day alone. But she did manage to say her goodbyes. She was like a 2nd mother to me.
