tomatoes need loads of water. I looked after a tomato plant for neighbours one summer - seemed continually thirsty

i water them every day - once they're big enough twice a day, but they are only about 8 inches tall and have been for about a month now so I don't think any more will develop from them sadly. I lost the car but I had to evacuate for 3 weeks. I went to my daughter in CT and she lost all her power so we wound up at her mil's house. Five days later we were back at Liz's and stayed another 2 weeks. Now I am losing my parking spot in the parking lot (I live in a co-op due to Sandy.
