I have been playing a bit of a mental game as I go along with this book. Writing is a habit, and a skill, and a exercise just like anything else, and if you have too many days between excerpts it starts to get stale, so writing every single day, no matter how much, is key to finishing a book. So, what i am doing is trying to add as many words as there is in the daily babble grid. today, for example, I must add at least 289 words to my work and i may stop after that if i wish. If the babble word count is under 100, i choose that day for minor editing and corrections.

Yes Sue. Last November I slipped and dislocated my foot. Then I tried to walk on it and broke the lower bones of my leg near the ankle. They put me together with 10 screws and one long plate but I am allergic to the metal so it is driving me crazy and the swelling won't go down even though everything is healed.

Last time I did this I was in bed for a long time but now they are only going to disturb the muscles (if they find any) andsoft tissue so it should not be too long before I can get moving again. It will be fragile until the bones fill in all the screw holes and I don't know how long the will take.
