no 'u' this time, eh. i see *this* 9 letter word too but it doesn't matter to me. frustration in not finding long words has surpassed whatever enjoyment i get from babble, so nil/beluga is signing off for good. lots of luck to 1 & all. :)
the nine letter one!!!!
Hi Hannah I am going to knock the socks off your Mum & Dad today and Christine because she is too clever
Christine your getting better, only because the USA use strange English
Rhode? Isn't that an Island?
28 words and counting. I'm on a roll!
37 *cackles madly*
A great puzzle today... I love the feeling of finding big words
How's everybody else doing on the puzzle? I've got the one 9, two 8's, and ten 7's. Am I missing anything?
Wow! I opened the screen, two players already had a niner.... why have they given me a different grid? Only sevens and less. Time for a cuppa.
Family- it's yours, today-- I'll get ya toorrow.
Wow!!! I've only played a half an hour, and I found a niner!! And it's oh, so apropos... ;)
Don't give up nil/beluga...
Hehe, there is a LOTR character...
There're at least two 9's
Well heck, I found a nine -- now you tell me there's another... plus a related eleven-letter word? I need another cuppa
Nah - the 11 isn't an accepted word, unless I was looking at the wrong one?
Beluga, are you leaving just today or forever?
Just found a second 9
And no, there's not an eleven (that I know of), just a word that looked like it could be
so what are the tallies today?
36 / 6.06 / 1109 - no word under 5 in length. two nines, three eights. Sunday - either the NYT or babble.
6.06? that is amazing, can't even imagine that! Fours are my only words (pretty much).
It takes me a while (and I don't have the time during the week normally)
115/5/2056 with 10 7's, 4 8's, 2 9's - that's got to be my all-time best :)
I'm jealous of the 7's, 8's, and 9's-- I get a few 7's, but generally the side-winding nature of the bigger words makes them invisible to me
126 words 5.05 2254
don't fret ya'll!!! 67, 4.64, 894...there IS still hope! :D
babs, *forever* is a long time, so i'll just say for the forseeable future. & if there's enough dark matter in the universe to halt expansion & cause a contraction that results in a *big crunch* then the laws of physics can reverse and we all get to relive our lives in reverse, including all the babble games we ever played, except nobody wins, you all wind up with 0 scores. :)
has anybody found more than two nines?
looks like i sat out a good puzzle, bummer
Glad I found 1 nine!
I'd be happy to find two! I need a hint on the second 9.
one is related to bond trading
theo and herse are not nouns and are in the puzzle, but not valid.
well... let me think of a hint...
how about this? both have to do with... food?
lol... I guess the word has two meanings.
58 words 5.02 1043 yep...15 minutes into it.
I'm at 125 words, 2026, fried, and cannot for the life of me figure the other nine letter word out...Food and Bond trading...Must be indigestion! (oh, that would be 10)
HA HA HA HA -- I love this puzzle!!!!! No sooner did I write this than I got it! Thanx for the clues.
