In the UK (unlike the wild west that is the US) being made redundant means your job no longer exists - they're not supposed to hire someone in your place within three months

Me too. First we had to confine her for a week & put ear drops in every 12 hours; now she has a bacterial gut infection & is now on oral antibiotics (liquid) every 12 hours; & remains isolated from our cat for another 5 days.

Me too, cos. I'm mad at my dtr that she isn't being more responsible about caring for her cat. But I did tell her she had to take her in both times & she did pay the vet bills. This is a Manx cat; they have a double coat of fur; *I* am allergic to cat dander; so this cat has been here for 3 months now & I'm really in need of a break for my sinuses.

I've done okay with our cat and when my son lived here with his cat he shaved it; but this cat -- not fun. (Plus she pees & poops in the bathtub instead of her litter box!)

My daughter raised her from about 3 weeks old because the mother rejected this kitten. I had her littermate brother from about 2 months old until we had to put him down at 18 months (poor cat was a 3rd generation "rumpy" --tail less Manx); he started developing neurological issues , rear end paralyzed, he had no feeling in his back legs, etc.

This cat was thrown head first into a wall when she was about 4 - 6 months old by daughter's boyfriend at the time (and she dropped him right away after that!
