Molly, I've been the nurse all these years; nurses are used to just soldiering through life I guess.
Working either 8 or 12 hour shifts, you might not get time to go to the bathroom or eat; you just keep going.

(my knee replacement was my left knee; so it isn't affected by driving. I had to pass a "test" of someone going with me and letting me drive; my hyper critical son was my guinea pig; and he was pleased that I did well

Ain't that the truth! They wanted me to go up and down stairs on crutches less than 24 hours after they did the surgery so I was pretty full of drugs. I remember asking the lovely PT guys who were trying to teach me how they ever decided to choose that profession. I told them right out, "Everyone hates PTs because it always hurts so much."
