He didn't say. He did suggest trying the Diabetes Association diet which is heart healthy. I guess we will see in a year. I'm sure my doctor will send me for the same test again then. It would be nice to stop the meds because they give me indigestion. Probably going to have to start taking something for that :)

bichon, we follow Banting - low carb, high fat. Has had amazing results with diabetics. I haven't had carbs or sugar since September and have never felt healthier. Starch is poison, not natural to the human digestive system :)

Before I started I was convinced I'd simply EXPIRE if I couldn't eat bread, but actually it hardly seems to matter. The high fat food keeps you full so you end up eating a helluva lot less. I've lost a lot of weight and gone down 2 dress sizes.
