oh, yes sweetie. That isn't the problem. I can pick my own shifts. It is the life at home that doesn't let itself be regulated. Kids needing their mummy late at night, hubby away for the weekend, and always exactly when I have other things planned. Nothing big. Just hectic.

There was a TV program on last night and they were saying about the advertisments on dog food (sure it is the same for cat food) they put on the tin beef in large letters but when you read the label. Most of them have a meat derivative so it could be beef as low as 8% and the rest of the meat made up of guts and innards of other animals as much as 70%

back when we lived further north, we used to have a wood stove. problem was, after being out all day in minus 30 or minus 40, and snowmobiling, ice skating, or ice fishing, you would sit in front of all that heat and fall asleep with your face in your bowl of soup :)

problem is that new log homes can be a pain. there is lots of "settling" and re-chinking in the first two years. you spend your first 2 years shaving the tops of doors and reajusting cupboard doors and everything shifts and settles

it is amazing, feenix. the fresh wood smell fades quite a bit over time, but the logs store heat and are basically self-insulating. What i love is that there are no walls to paint, and if you wish to hang something on the walls you can just do it any old way you like
