I think Realtor may be considered a proper noun. I looked it up, and it was kinda of presented in that way. Bummer.
12:38 am
runningforhome

Isn't a jool a term of energy measurement?
12:39 am
boatierra

Ya, it is. I tried the same thing, but its spelled joule. Total bummer.

You can find all kinds of neat measurements at:

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=measurement

Joule is under the Derived Units, with names and symbols.

A bushel and a peck, a bushel and a peck....

liz, who scored such points yesterday.... are you my niece in London?? Either way, CONGRATULATINS!!!!
12:54 am

i think i confused a joule with a newton. there's that hard-earned college degree working it's magic!
1:01 am
boatierra

There's a measurement called a Newton? See, you know more than me, and I've had 2 yrs jr college, 3.5 yrs university, plus a few summers. And what do I do for a living, house watch and babysit.
1:02 am
boatierra

Throw in the occasional lawn mowing, and I'm the whole house watching package. Ya! (not).
1:12 am

i'm a living physics textbook! there's my new job!

7-40 f
7-28 r
7-44 w

Any clues on the 7-36 a? I'm guessing you're missing the 7-44 W. Think military.

Hmm - I have five 7s A, D, P, R,and W; I've yet to find the F - any clues on that, please? and what is the seventh word - well, not the word (unless you insist) perhaps the start letter/points or definition or...I must've missed, that when I read the chat.
10:57 am
boatierra

Ah Man!! It won't take 'talmud.' Don't these people read?!?
10:58 am
jlm_mi

Christine - I don't think anyone has mentioned the 7th 7 word yet. No idea what it is here, anyway.

For the F 7, the clue given earlier was that it is ironic. Perhaps it should be written "iron"-ic.
11:01 am
boatierra

Got the F-7, good clue with the iron-ic.
11:05 am
Christine

jlm -- at 8:41 you mentioned the breakdown of 6s, 7s, 8s,.. so I thought perhaps you had a clue there.... the F7 I had thought of that kind of IRON..

I don't have the breakdown - haven't found all the words yet, just got it from the solver.

Thanks Christine! Didn't have that F/6/33, but I do have another F/6/33 that is part of the body.

And yes, your F/6/33 is very close to the F7.

Steve - I'm at 161/1515 so you must be missing some of the longer words. There are hints for 6 of the 7 7-letter words throughout (or at least starting letters and point values) and for the 8-letter. So far, I've also got 14 6's that I could post the point values of if it would help.

er... are you with me?
3:06 pm
jlm_mi

No, I had two 6-letter R words worth 18 points, but neither could be made into an 8 letter. And now I know that for certain, because neither means that. I'll have to look for it later, but thank you so much for the clue!

The 7-40 F word. I have the 6 letter F word. Do I build on that?

ZoeyMO

jlm_mi you're making me feel good. You've been tough to get near and I have 203 words.
6:50 pm

The T/7 is a compound word. Start with a T/4 and build.
6:51 pm
ZoeyMO

I'm stuck on the A/7.
6:53 pm
jlm_mi

Peri - There are 2 6-letter F words for 33 (at least). You want to work with the one that is iron related. Drop the last 2 letters and go from there.

Zoe - You're making me blush! ;) And thanks for the help on the T word.
6:54 pm
jlm_mi

The A7 is tough. It's a person who gives to the poor. But I started looking for a word that might come up in divorce settlements, then dropped the i and found it from there.
6:55 pm
periwinkle

jlm-mi, Thanks, I have the right base word. I will keep trying.
6:57 pm
periwinkle

Got the f-7 for 40. Thanks for the help, jlm-mi.
6:58 pm
jlm_mi

My pleasure!

Ok, for Zoey or anyone else who has this T7. It must contain either the M or the P, right? So, does the M or P show up in the 4-letter word, or the 3-letter part?
7:01 pm
periwinkle

A hint for the 7-36 P and the 7 -32 D would be appreciated.
7:06 pm
jlm_mi

I can help with those!

The D - are you a woman? Think in terms of what happens during labor. Or, when you go to the eye doctor. There is a D-6 that is a verb that means this. The D-7 is the person or thing that causes it to happen.

The P7 - think criminal. And start with a 6 letter word. The 7 is the person, the 6 is the event or thing.
7:39 pm
boatierra

jlm_mi - the during labor and eye doctor clues aren't working for me. Is there some other way you can phrase the clue?
7:41 pm
trixiew

during labor its what they measure in centimeters...

jlm-mi, Got the D word. But the clue for the P-7 is not working. Will keep trying. I also need help with the A-7 for 36, please.
8:01 pm
periwinkle

jlm-mi, Looked again and got the P word. Thanks :).
8:02 pm
jlm_mi

The A7 - Think of what a husband might have to pay his wife (with no kids) after a divorce. It's not that word, but similar. Drop the i and work from there.

The D7 - Think about old telephones before touch-tone. That word sounds like the beginning of the D7 and D6.

The P7 - A criminal would be released from prison and have to report at regular intervals to his ------ officer. Therefore he is a -------.
8:09 pm
periwinkle

jlm-mi, Thanks again for your help. Got the A word. Looked up the definition and the British version is what I do for a living.

Any help please?
9:33 pm

10:00 pm
Minski

I need help with the W-7 also. I'm having trouble figuring it out. Maybe my math is incorrect. It is for 44 points so that is 11 tile points. If you subtract the 4 points for the W that leaves 7 points and only 6 letters left. That's where I get lost because there are no nearby 2 or 3 point tiles. Help!!
10:09 pm
fit1

after thinking math, I think we need to get down to the D
10:18 pm
Minski

Got it. Thanks for the D. It ends in D. Think about 2 words. One is what is happening in Iraq and Afghanistan and the second is a word we say in Temple or Church all the time. It is a compound word with the 3 letter word coming first.
10:20 pm
Minski

OK.
Got all the 7s.
