jlm.....I have one more 28 than you have...I think the one you're missing starts with a T
bigbirdboss - Thanks. That last 28 I have listed starts with T. Do you have 2 that do?
yes. I have two T's for 28 and one R for 28
One of the T words has no definition
'scuse me, Tolinya... who's that - flashing a crotch at ya?? ... 'tweren't me.
hehe...everytime i take a break from work to babble the first one i see that can't be made is crotch!!! ARGH
jlm...I have 3x36 at the beginning there.
Thanks parsec. If I'm correct in my counting, your 3 36 pointers do not all start with the same letter, is that correct? Two start with the same letter and one is different. If so, does the one different come before or after the others? Merci!
the different one is first.
Is there a word starting with P, in this grid??
Christine - No. There aren't any words containing the P. See stats at 11:32 for starting letters.
And thanks, parsec!
That R-9 is bugging me. Can anyone help?
I was seeing crotch alot too... hehe
it's bugging me too, fnurt. That's why I decided to look for more Ns =)
The R9 is not a common word at all. It is a scientific unit of measure that I'm certain most of the general population has never heard of. :) It is 60 points and is the plural of an 8 for 45.
great clue jlm_mi !! Imagine if there were a "X" in the puzzle
grrrrr i give up on the r9. either i am using the wrong 8 / 45 or I dont know what to add to it. am i stupid or what
Swtbtrcup - I'm sure you are using the wrong 8/45. It's just an S to make it plural. But, as I said, it's an extremely uncommon word. Only those with a science background would have a hope of finding it without doing some web searching on scientific units.
Who would have thought this was an actual word....
oh and by the way the "X" phrase was also a clue to the R 9
probably since I only have one r / 45 lol
is the 8 / 45 an R word?
Ooh, just found the e-7 and the r-9.
now the E 8 is a strange one
Yes, I almost couldn't make myself try that E-8 word, but thought, "What the heck!". A yahoo search informed me that it's a marine word, but I couldn't find it in any dictionary.
RFH - So, you also found the R8 that goes with the R9, right?
Found the c-8 as well... there's an e-8 now? *sigh*
Yes I did, jlm, thanks.
And I've stumbled on another 7 that doesn't seem to be on the list, making the final order (I think):
Has anyone found all the 7s, or at least the one I'm missing? I have:
Great minds think alike. Thanks parsec!
any clues for E for eight
no problem. wanna throw out another clue for that pesky E8? the weird ones always get me.
LOL, we're all dying to know =)
The E-8 is a compound of a 3- and a 5-letter word. Both words are extremely common; the compound is anything but!
The E8 is a compound word, and you'd never, in normal life (outside of babble, that is!) think to put them together. It's a 3=letter word followed by a 5-letter word. The 5 letter word is for 10 points.
Am I the only who has tried more than once to type in treeish?
thanks, fnurt and jlm!
and no, you are not alone with the 'treeish.'
shouldn't 'henge' be a word? You know, as in the type of building stonehenge is?
Yes, I think so! It's in MSN's Encarta dictionary and means a circle of standing stones. Kinda makes the word "stonehenge" a bit redundant, no? :-D
Hey - Does the 7-40 toward the end contain the H?
yeah!! Got that r 8/9 with a little help from the web.
jlm--yes, the 7/40 contains the H.
Thanks - That limits me to one direction then. :)
no problem. I am headed out now, so that'll have to be the last clue from me. Good luck =)
Breaking for a while at 221/3257
Missing 2xE and 5xT
Missing 1x7, 2x6, 2x5, 2x4
Came back after a shower and got the e-8, and it may just be the most ridiculous word ever. I'm off to buy groceries.
Hmph. Nothing ridiculous about an otolith.
I was *just* going to say something about otoliths! Damn .. beaten to it!
And as soon as someone - thanks whoever it was - jlm? mentioned units - the R9 jumped straight out at me woot!
I was hoping to get to 200 before bed but it is late! <yawn> so I'm heading to bed...
193 words 5.01 2722
I don't have all the 7/8/9s I would bet... night!
Damn the white painted face and black lipstick!! It won't take 'goth.'

My a's go 4,4,5,6. How many letters in the fifth one?
A7 ... a chemical
marigold are you here. stuck at 90.
Ah! Thanks, shortseer, I knew there was another A in there!
creasote is a word - it's in the OED!
anybody have a clue for a C 7/36? I have the one in the series 4,5,6,7,8, but I believe there's another one?
mommanine - The c7/36 is a plural of a 6 letter word, and it makes me think of an out of control car chase.
marigold, I only have 117. Will play a little longer.
Just been reading further back in the log ...
There are 11x 7s?
I seem to be missing one.
E7 made of clay
what does the other 40-pointer start with?
Can't help you. Only have 5 sevens.
shortseer- starts with H, it's a plural of a 6 for 27
i haven't really looked at that H yet :D
jlm_mi Thanks- I just found the 6, but didn't think to make it plural!
that R word, scientific units...I think I know the word but can't make it work in the puzzle?? help!
Got it, alternate spelling - thanks, jennyb! :P
A new weird little word for me ...
A dialectical form of "his"; imitating mine or thine, used only absolutely; as "this is mine, that is h---".
I must toss that one into a conversation one day :)
shortseer - I remember that one from an earlier puzzle. It's a strange word indeed!
thanks for your word number breakdown jlm
Have you found them all?
I've only just hit the 200-word mark
just logging on after a road trip - wish i'd started sooner!
any clues for the L 9's? I don't seem to have most of the squence.
there was a good clue earlier. think of something getting longer.
sheesh! I could have sworn that word wasn't possible!
(Note to self: get eyes checked.)
I know...I actually just typed in the word after that clue to see if it worked out & it did.
Think I have 'em now, thanks. :-)
Now to find the 8 sevens I seem to be missing. :-\
oh! got the "longer" L-9. lovely clue.
Any clues for the sole J word?
6 letters & sounds like my real name
i can't believe it took me this long to get the large ocean mammal.
For 39 pts. Thanks jayferg :)
you are welcome
even more easy ones showing themselves. sheesh....i think i am slowing down instead at getting better at this game. too much time spent on long words i can't find.
