I hear you, jubi. I do like a small glass of wine on rare occasions, but I will end up paying for tithe next day. It just isn't worth it to me anymore.

jubi, I get severe hives from sangria. We figured out (that the sulfites in the wine & the citrus fruits cause an allergic reaction in me.In the past, I couldn't even have wine & citrus fruit on the same day. (Another reason to quit drinking for me)

Yes, if your throat closes up; do not drink again! I've had a couple of anaphylactic reactions (to bee stings & also to an NSAID medication (like Naproxin) & they are not fun.

A couple of times. (I'm also a nurse; so my family -including my 8 year old grandson - all have been trained in what to do & how to use the Epi-pens)

Talk with your doc; ask for an "auto-injector" epinephrine (which is generic epi-pen) and they're a lot cheaper & work as easy as the brand name stuff.
