So, what's with this -- my sister hasn't played for about two weeks, and she's moved up, in the rankings... about 10 places, and SHES'S AHEAD OF ME!! and you know that's just not fair <sulk>
8 for 50. my heart goes out to you christine!
another 8 for 50 and 9 for 66.
and 8 for 55. maybe i should stop posting these one by one just in case there turn out to be 2357829357 of them.
fnurt... I bet your sister would neve do that to you -- but if you really, truly feel sorry for me, you'll email the words to me....wow! two 8/50s and a 9/60....and I'll adopt you, to replace that dastardly Marianne.
don't tell marianne, this is just between us ok? they all start with the L in the upper right, plus a bonus 8-70.
looks like my instinct was correct, any puzzle with this many prefixes and suffixes will probably have a ton of long words.
got those big words. i hope i have enough time to finish this puzzle. too many words can be a bad thing.
hmm, I've got the 8/50 twice, the 8/55 the bonus 8 for 70, but stuck on the 9 for 66 - any clues anyone?
Christine, you are such a yuk. Why on earth would you want to replace me as a sister.
7 gpt 64
sorry meant 7 for 64
Oh Marianne - welcome home -I thought you'd dropped off the face of the earth.... how come your score went up? You've not played for more than a week..... it's just not right
added the plurals, Playful? I can't find the bonus 8 for 70
Well I've got to 100 words for 1552 points but there must be dozens more... anyone know how many altogether?
Playful--The 9 for 66 is a simple plural of an 8 for 50.
Does the bonus 8 for 70 also start with L? I can't find it.
It most certainly does.
Why don't they accept cuer/cuers? That's the person who feeds you lines in the theatre.
OK--I have 8 starting with Q + 2 more including Q. But I still can't find the bonus 8 for 70. Any other hints? How is it related to the 8 for 50's, 55, and 9 for 66?
Cz - my 8 for 50's are already plurals! What letter does this one start with that, when pluralled will give me 9 for 60?
the 8 for 70 starts with L (top right)
the 8 for 70 is a plural of a 7 for 52 and it relates to varnish
Anybody else have the 8 for 85? Just found it.
9 Q's, total, but can't find the Q8. Any hints?
I have 12 qs but nothing longer than a 6s (three of those) are you sure there is a q/8?
Playful--there are 3 related 8 for 50's. One is the plural of the "thing", one is the plural of the place where one gives the "thing", and the last is the person who gives the "thing". The 9 for 66 is the plural of the last 8.
and please....another clue for the bonus 8!
Don't forget the place where one gave the thing as an 8/55.
Sorry to confuse but I meant I have 8 words starting with Q not an 8 letter word starting with Q.
Duh! Finally got the bonus 8.
cz....is that a bonus 8 starting with q? If so....any hints?
Yay! Got the bonus 8 for 70...at last.
the bonus 8 starts with L. a plural of a 7 for 52.
The bonus 8 also involves the "qu" combination.
I have that one....I thought there was a word starting with "q" that had 8 letters. :(
17 x 8 letters (includes one 9 fo 66)
18 x 7 letters
Still more there then. Im nowhere near Claw's total but have 15 T's & 8 A's,
okay I need a hint for 8 for 85 knows where it falls but am lost
There are at least 9 N's.
thanks cz! I've found the 9 for 66. I didn't think about the actual person giving the thing. Obvious really
The 8 for 85 is an almost colloquial spelling of a word that refers to a male servant or footman.
Any clues to where it begins? Thanks.

Whoo - a misspelled word gave me 64 points, and the plural gave me 85 - and there's no defintion for these words,
Must enter the words I've cumpiled thru' the day - and then see what clues are out there...
Quel suprise - another misspelled word... but is CUMPILED in this grid?

hope this helps
Thanks, I have 5 so far, obviously a few more to find !
Marianne... of course it won't take RENTAEEL... that should be 'Rent-An-Eel'.
I'm going to read my email, now.
Luv yer, 2
The nine just jumped out at me! Finally!
what does the maleservant start with??
It must be a British thing, everyone asks about the male servant, but that was the third word I got when I started ! I wish the rest were so easy ! Loads of clues in the messages. I wish I had a clue for the 8 letter n's - now THEY are giving me a problem. (But I expect everyone else can see those....)
how much psych have you studied? empiricism?
i can't dimwit. if that helps. granted i'm preoccupied with studies, but still! today i'm lost. btw, hope you're feeling better.
Much better, thanks, had a 3 day migrainer - hubby says from too much babblling - as if one could have too much!
i give up on that darn male servant
Thanks for the clues...finally got the 8 for 85.
Now I'm working on the N8 and D8.
finally got it. i was on the right path. i knew what it sounded like but couldn't figure out the spelling.
jayferg - 'a servile follower; a toady'...maybe think 'gofer'
However, once you find that word, you need to misspell it... the new spellin is based on the word for 'varnish'.... a lot of trouble, but it will give you 64 points, and 85 for the plural.
A confusing clue - yep, but it's so bloody difficult to describe something that doesn't exist.
thanks Christine! I got it.
now on to those n's
jayferg - I really should read the chat, before posting a response.
