Well, I have 9 words for 69 - looks like that's it for me - for tonight, anyway, but it's definitely something for y'all to aim for, right?
Gotta finish a book, to return to the library tomorrow.
22 words for 254
There's an impressive 39 words in this puzzle.
I don't have the strength of will for this one. There are no words longer than five letters.
Had to come back, to update my list - a truly impressive 19words for 214.... woohoo.... and yes, the longest words are only five-letters.
Lots of words 'almost' there, but...
30 for 340... all 4s and 5s.
31 so far:
I found 2 F's...
C - 2
F - 2
H - 4
I - 2
S - 8
T - 4
W - 3
Sorry, that should have been
C - 7
Adding 1 N to that
Oh yeah, I hadn't noticed the N!
That's got me to 36 for 424.
C - 10
F - 2
H - 4
I - 2
N - 1
O - 1
S - 8
T - 5
W - 3
I can't find the sixth T anywhere, though!
Oh, and I haven't used the X at all. Has anyone else used it??
Are there really only 39 words in this puzzle? Kukana, I have 37 and I know I'm missing 2 C's from your list - that means that along with the T you know about you must also be missing 2 more I's.
Got to 37 with Kirsty's 2 extra Is. Still missing an S and something else...
Thanks Kirsty, found the last two Is and the final T. So that's 39 for 451... I won't look for any more unless someone else mentions a different score!
If it's any help, my C points are: 12, 26, 9, 9, 20, 14, 9, 20, 6, 6
Just got to find 1 more F now - which I suspect will irritate me all day LOL
And my S points are: 26, 14, 6, 9, 7, 4, 16, 7
I don't think it was a hard puzzle today, there weren't that many possible combinations and lots of them -turned out to be unexpected words!
Ah, posting at the same time... my F points are 22 and 7. Both reasonably common words.
*kicks self* thanks Kukana!!!
So... 39 for 451? Or something different?
Oh look - there're letters on the west side of the grid... who'd've thought it...
I have 34/413, and I know I'm missing two Ts and one W... this'll keep me awake, tonight... so near, so near...
This one blows completely. But there's a fantastic 5 for 14 beginning with 'c'.
Oh no, I'm missing four words.. any help is appreciated:
10 x C
2 x F
4 x H
2 x I
1 x N
1 x O
8 x S
4 x T
3 x W
woe is me...
You're missing 2 Is and 2 Ts ....
Is the N word a common one?
Nevermind, I found the N word.
Kukana, how many letters are in your S/22. That is the only S word I am missing>
Can't find any of the I words.
There isn't an S 22 ....
Thanks, Atalante... I knew I needed the Ts.... now the Is... .
A cup of tes, and onward, onward.
2x4 for 4
1x4 for 7
1x5 for 16
There are 3 i's
Sorry, that's wrong. 4 i's. Missed Atalante's post.
Periwinkle, I don't have an S-22. Do you mean the F-22? Or something else? Anyway.. all the words are either 4 letters or 5 in this puzzle, and the X isn't used, so anything with 22 points has to have 5 letters!
Doing the dance of joy. I have all 39 words before 9am :)
Kukana, may I have a hint for your s/26
I have 30 words and really want to get all of them.
Kukana, never mind, I found the last S. Yea!
I am missing a T. I have: 4/10, 4/4, 4/4, 4/10, and 5/22. What am I missing?
I still need 4 c's, 3 i's and one t. Will check back later.
peri - you are missing a t4 for 7pts
I'm missing three C words - I've got the following:
Looks like you're missing the first three cs, then! 4/12, 5/26, 4/9
They're all similar sounding and I didn't know any of them existed as words until I tried the letters.
Found 'em - had wondered about the US spelling on some of these... that does catch me out on occasion!
I have 8Cs is there anymore
Treble99 - There are great clues to the number of words for each letter and the points for many of them already in the grid.
Wendrie - I don't think those are US spellings of anything. They all seem to be acronyms. :)
got em all !!! I like these short ones
All done! For some reason the N was the hardest.
I thought the salmon were the hardest! you never know!
I have 27 words for 320 points. Missing 4 'c's, one 's' and one 'w'. Has anyone used the 'v' ?
Also missing 2 i s
Got all the i s now, and one more c
Youngster - there seems to be 3 x 5 letter S words, and 5 x 4 S's... do you know what you're missing? I'm just missing one T word - I've never got any where near all the words before today!
All 3 W words start with with same 3 letters...
angeelu, I have: 5/26, 5/14, 4/6, 4/7, 5/16, 4/7
Got the last 'w' thanks.
Think you're missing a 4/4 and a 4/9 - the fourth word is the 4/4 and the 4/9 comes after your 4/6.
My Ts are, 4/10, 4/4, 4/4, 4/10 , 5/22, 4/7
D'oh - scrap what I just said! The 4/4 comes just before your 5/16. The 4/9 comes after your 4/6.
Yay! Got all of 'em!
I'm still only at 35. Can't get the 4/9!
Take more than one animal that goes 'moo' and jumble up the letters! Lol - that's probably a daft clue, but hope it works!
Yeah, worked first time. (Trying to make dinner at the same time!)
2 c's and 1 h still to get.
YEAH. FIRST TIME I'VE EVER COMPLETED IT!!!!!
Hey youngster, you there?
Can you tell me which I am missing, I have 4-7,5-16,4-4
Nevermind, got the I. Completed!
Oh, that wasn't bad at all. Noodling short words is so much easier!
Hi, am new here, like the game. Got them all now (thanks for the hints!), but still wonder why coth is not valid? It's a math word.
Aww, it won't accept 'woot'!
I don't know what's wrong with coth. I think sinh, tanh, etc are accepted.
Done. 39/4.33/451. And since I don't think anyone's posted a complete list:
c x 10
f x 2
h x 4
i x 4
n x 1
o x 1
s x 8
t x 6
w x 3
4 x 26
5 x 13
Actually, it will take sinh and cosh, but not tanh or coth. Don't know why!
Hah!! while waiting for my cab, at the library, I found the last I-word.... and gained another player, maybe two,
can't find that last T. It is driving me nuts.
Does the last T have an F, W or C in it. I have tried every combo and no luck.
Or an H?
Still need three C words.
Make that 2 C words.
It has an F in it.
fnurt, thanks, I will keep trying.
--- serve ice-cream cones... (cryptic hint, but.)
or is that rather obvious, now? :)
periwinkle, have you found them all yet?
First time I have found all of them.
Fell quite good.
Sorry meant to say I feel quite good. oops!
Christine are you with us?
Marianne - I'm here; are you here?
youngster, No, I am still missing one T and 2 C's :(
Still need one T and one C. :(
youngster, have you found them all?
periwinkle, yes I have them all. Sorry, I'd gone elsewhere for a while!
Yea, I got all of the C's. But I really need help with the last T. Which T is used. I know it has an F in it but can't figure it out. Is there a clue that will help me?
Sorry, obviously too late with the c's. hang on and I'll do the Ts
Ts are: 4/10 4/4 4/4 4/10 5/22 4/7
The last 3 all have an F in them. Which one are you missing?
I am missing the t/4 for 7. I would appreciate any help/ clues, etc.
Use the last T and read anti clockwise
Use the 2nd F
Would someone please click on the t/4/7 and see if there is a definition. I would really appreciate the help. I am determined to get all of the words in this puzzle.
a house and homestead!
Are you using the F on the 2nd top line? and reading anticlockwise
also means a hillock. Just realised what these wee ?s are for! Thanks:) Have you found it yet?
youngster, thank you sooo much. I finally got the last T. I found all of the words. Yea for me. This is the second time that this has happened. I am soo happy.
Well done! It's my first time. I was a babble completion virgin till today!
marigold, are you her?
meant to say: marigold, are you here?
1am - g'night
I kept trying to make toof, ha ha
Have y'all finished the game, or does anyone need clues??
could soeone explain what the 4/4 and 4/10, etc. are? i'm relatively new and can't figure it out
trying to finish my first puzzle. missing a c for 20, an i and an s. for i's i have 4/7, 5/16, 4/4. s's are 5/26, 5/14, 4/6, 4/7, 4/4, 5/16, 4/7. any help would be fantastic.
what did any of those numbers mean?
still need one each for c, i and s. the c i know is a 5/20. the other numbers listed are the words i already have.
only need that last c 5/20 now!
Add an s...
always overlooking the plurals! thanks delta. all done.
cjustine... 4/7, 6/33, indicates the number of letters/value of the word... a 4-letter word, worth 7 points or a 6-letter word where the tiles total 11 points multiplied by 3 'cos of the number of letters. Adding a prefix, or suffix, or pluralizing could give you a super-value word.
