So I have used the Z twice, once to begin a word, and once within.
12:16 am
Q

OK, that's just weird that I came out "first" in the score list yesterday- I finished like maybe an hour and a half before the game ended. Maybe it puts the rank in reverse order of finishing, for finishers.
12:21 am
iluvtigs

used the z 4 times...twice within words and twice to begin words
12:24 am
boatierra

Now I'm up to four uses for the Z. Three to begin, and one within (or rather ending a word).
12:25 am

Me too :) Found another one, where I used the Z to begin.

Curses!! Ya beat me. Hey, I'm pretty impressed that I found the ones that I have :)
12:31 am
Q

I've used the 'z' 7 times- four to start words, 3 within or to end words.
12:32 am
boatierra

I've got the 4 to start, now I've just got to work on two out of your last three Q...

Maybe a stupid question, but the listing of Goforit below, is that an official one? From the makers? Or the results of a very good noodler?
9:30 am
shortseer

that goforit list was from me.
following a method explained by jlm a while ago.
I put the babble grid into an online solver, and copy the results into a text file (without looking at the results ... not that hard to manage if i take off my glassses). Then i just run a macro i've set up in a mini database that imports the words in the file, and then prints out the babble stats for me.

Personally, i find it a LOT more enjoyable playing babble when i know what i'm aiming for.

I'd prefer to wait for jlm's list ... but that gets posted a bit late for me.
9:33 am
sprite

Thanks for explaining! Yes, it is nice to know the numbers of words/letters. That 8/90 is driving me crazy, though! Must have 18 points... does it have a Z?
9:38 am

yep ... there's a z in there
9:43 am

Wow, there is a 5/40.

11:34 am

D8/90: stupid superlative for a D4 with a Z.
T10/105: he who can move his thumbs the best is the t.....
P9/78: shortseer gave a very good hint. Also a superlative.

I am still short 5 5-words and about 8 4-words! Why are the little ones so much harder? ;-)
11:36 am
youngster

Got it :-)
11:40 am

Anyone with a word using the Y?

Treble99, the D8 uses tz!

1:21 pm

It's the last P7 I don't have :-)
1:21 pm

Treble99, do you have a D4/14?
1:23 pm
youngster

Treble99, the letters go upwards in the grid in the middle column, then down the right, ending with T
1:23 pm
sprite

For the last P7 you only need to change 1 letter from the first P7. Can't hear the difference, though.
1:23 pm
Treble99

No I dont it yet
1:25 pm
sprite

Can someone tell me which S I am missing? Got 4/7, 5/28, 4/4, 4/4, 4/4, 5/14.
Think I'll give up on the 3 D's and the 2 T's...
1:26 pm
youngster

sprite, Thank you :-) I thought I'd tried that one already, but obviously not! I'm going for some wine. Will be back after several hours!
1:27 pm
sprite

Treble99, you need a D4/14, ending with Z. Then work from there for the D8.
1:28 pm
Treble99

Thanks everyone for all your help, I got it at last
1:28 pm
sprite

Never mind, got the last S.
1:29 pm
youngster

Treble99, the D4/14...think of the song 'putting on the R---' then change the R ro a D

youngster

Sorry that should have read change the R to a D - honest, I haven't started the wine yet!
1:31 pm

I can't find the last H... I have a 5/40 and a 4/10.

For Ds I have 5xDi4, Di5, Di7, Di8, Du6
For Ps I have 2xPi4, Pi5, Pi6, PL5, 2xPR5, PR6, 2xPU4, PU5, PU6, 2xPU7, PU9

2:24 pm

There's a Pl 4
2:25 pm
sprite

Also the D's. And the T's.
For D's I have: 5xDi4, Di5, Di7, Di8 (same as you) and then Du4, Du5, Du6.
Still 3 missing.

For P's I have: 3xPi4, Pi5, Pi6, Pl4, Pl5, 2xPr5, Pr6, 2xPu4, 2xPu5, Pu6, 2xPu7, Pu9.

And for T's:
Te4, Te5, 4xTi4, 2xTi5, Tu4, Tw4, Tw5, Tw10. I miss the Ta fnurt has. And two more.
2:28 pm
jlm_mi

You are only missing 2xD - The Di5 mentioned below, and the DH. And in addition to the TA4 you are only missing one more T - a Ti4.
2:31 pm
sprite

Sorry - should have been 4 Di4's.
2:35 pm
sprite

Tnx! Found the Ta.
2:36 pm
jlm_mi

OK, some good clues and some process of elimination helped me complete the list. Thanks all!
3:18 pm

I have the Di5/12. Anyone a hint for the Di5/18?
3:30 pm
Benjake

the Di you're looking for uses one of teh Di-4s. It's a more common word than I was looking for :-)
Any help on the s 5 for 28? I know two of the letters it has to have, but all the combinations I've tried have been rejected <sniff>
3:32 pm
Benjake

never mind...missing the complete obvious!! I think I need a break!!
3:32 pm
sprite

Common? That too... ;-) I feel really stupid, cannot find that last Di5.
For the S5/28, think of opportunities. And of what you should do with them.
3:33 pm
Benjake

The Di you're looking for is how you'll feel when you figure it out ;-)
(think blonde)
3:36 pm
sprite

Ieeeee! That did it... thanks! Now I can sleep... got them all!
3:41 pm
Krys10

Can someone please confirm that I've culled the clues correctly: are there 5 Ti x4?
3:42 pm
Q

I'm still missing an R and an S
I have:
R's: 4/7 6/18 7/28 4/4 4/4 5/10 4/6
S's: 4/7 5/28 4/4 4/4 4/4 5/14
3:42 pm

That is correct: 5Di4's.
3:43 pm
sprite

5 Ti4's I mean...
3:44 pm
Krys10

You mean Ti x4's?
3:44 pm
Benjake

I'm missing the same two Rs and Ss!
Any help on the U's?
3:44 pm
Krys10

thx :)
3:45 pm
sprite

You're missing an S4/5. Has to do with sardine.
3:46 pm
Krys10

Benjake, you are missing an S4/5 and another R5/10
3:49 pm
sprite

And an R5/10. Use yr mind and think of the relation magnitudes can have to eachother...
3:56 pm
sprite

Ehm... the 'think logical' part was meant to be hinting, not bitching... ;-)
3:56 pm
Benjake

...yet again, I got stuck thinking there was only one R to work with.
I really need a break! But I'm 5 away from completing the puzzle, so I want to keep going!!!!!
3:56 pm
Q

Thanks! Got them both. I'm embarrassed to have not gotten the R5/10 before.

The U's- 5/14 6/24
Both use the same starting pair of letter.
4:04 pm
Benjake

Thanks for the U clues.
Can I be obnoxious and ask for more?
I'm missing one of the Ls:
I have 4/4, 5/16, 4/4, 6/18, 4/4
And two of the Ws
I have 4/10, 4/7, 4/7, 5/16, 4/7
Thanks!
4:09 pm

You miss one L4/4. They are the same, except for the last letter.
4:09 pm
sprite

and you miss the 3rd W. It's what you get when having more of the 2nd.
4:10 pm
Krys10

Bj, missing an L4, and a W5/16 and W4/10.
Is one of the Ti4 words odd? I think I've noodled every possibility!
4:12 pm
Benjake

If it's the one I just (finally) found, it's odd to me: the definition is "To quiver; to vibrate; to veer about."
Not sure if it's the same one you need, though.
4:14 pm
sprite

Not as odd as the Te5. Do you have the quivering Ti4?
4:18 pm
Benjake

Is the W 4/10 an odd word? Is it in the dictionary, or should I just be noodling?

Thanks for all the other clues! I'm one away from getting them all!
4:19 pm
Krys10

Yes, apparently the quivery one is the one I need. I'll try again...
4:19 pm
Krys10

Neither of the W4/10's are obscure words.
4:20 pm
sprite

:-))
No, it is a very common word. Perhaps one of the most used, even. It is what you get back when you tell people something new or unpleasant.
4:22 pm
Benjake

Thank you:-) Thank you!
I'm so embarrassed...I can't believe that one took me so long to figure out!!
I did it!!
4:29 pm

Got the Ti4 already, Krys10?
4:32 pm
