I also teach in a high-poverty school so there is an added element of not sleeping/eating/being safe in general for a large number of students in the school.

Flipped classrooms only work, kje, when there is electricity in a home and internet access and computers, unfortunately. And in the younger grades to do a flipped classroom requires parents who aren't working two and three jobs so they can be there and help the students when they get home. :-( Rural and poor communities lack so much of the resources that urban and wealthier places (like my home district) provide.
