It comes - in time. The extreme heat we had kept me awake, so now circadian rhythm is way off. I awoke at 7:30 PM yesterday (today)... so it's not lookiong good. I am tired, but only a little...and it's still ove 90F, so too hot yet to sleep

Yes I will be cooking for them today. Although it is almost always the same for my father as he does not like eating lol Mother is tricky as everytime she eats something within 20 minutes of doing so she is being sick or from you know..the other end.

She has had most of them now. The hospital did say what they found. Will not say on here. Apart from saying there was infections found. But when she came home from the hospital they did not give her anything for it. So We assumed they will contact her doctor to perscribe the right medicine for her....

Mother went to the doctor with my sister and they said they have not heard anything from the hospital yet. This was two weeks ago....

So my sister phoned the hospital as mother was not well enough to talk to them but they refused to tell her anything as she was not my mother! And so sister phones the doctor who says we can not perscribe her with medicine as we do not have all the results back yet and round and round it goes.

In the mean tie mother is in the middle not eating much as she knows what will happen if she does. Being sick with bad stomach pains and other things.

Wow zooz.. good news/bad news.. but Dx is important. I am surprised they didn't at least prescribe antibiotics right off...and two weeks is a long time to wait. Plus, between heat and "illness" fter eating she might be losing too manyelectrolytes... Can you ring the doctor and request he order her something through the chemist until her next appointment with him (her?). You must be under a lot of stress right now. So sorry to hear this all zooz. Sending hugs :(

She drinks water and very weak almost milk coffee. She can not have soups as same result. She has had a few ensure drinks my father has. Those alone aresupposed to keep you going as they are meals in a bottle.

these 4 items (in small quantities) are often given in rotation, one iteme per feeding but eating frequently. They will go a long way if she can masnge.. and Ensure in between.

Apple sauce is a big no no as it is too acidic for her. chiken she can eat but the same result happens. Bananas same thing. Just eating creates problems for her. Bloody nightmare really.

It's not the main thing, but I hope they get you a Rx for some antibiotics before the dayis out. It may be time to be an undignified "squeaky wheel" and give the doctor's office a piece of your mind....

hmmm try to pay close attention to anything she seems to tolerate. stay away from fats like butter (though dry toast is horrid) keep up the Ensure meals. They are very important.. and temp may have something to do with it.. not too hot or cold.

Mother likes it very hot as she is like me gets cold very quickly. Her bedroom is like a ruddy oven. I tell her it is too hot in here but she loves it. Even in all this heat when she is in her livingroom she had a hot water bottle bless her.

I do understand that she is fearing a reaction to eating, which creates anticipatory anxiety... which can be enough to bring all this on.. but as you said, they have found an underlying cause.. so that must be dealt with. He was transported today Nef from local county hospital , thank god, to a much better facility closer to me and he is being monitored because it got so late in the day on a Friday . So at this point not life threatening? He had open heart in his 50’s younger than I am now and he is 78 yrs and they do not crack chests much anymore
