That was already done at the place we bought - including foundation plants - because they had had a drainage problem that needed to be repaired. We left the rocks, but the first thing we did was plant some carpet juniper and a couple of shrubs next to the house. Eventially the juniper will cover the rocks and give us some green -- also will have a cooling effect in summer. The juniper doesn't need much water either which is a plus.

I've been to Canada a few times. Toronto was unbelievably clean. I had the best turkey in my life at a Chinese Canadian restaurant in the middle of nowhere, so moist, so fresh, so turkey-tasting. Canadians were incredibly polite, except for the French speakers in Montreal, who brought me to the verge of tears. Luckily, while my mother was risking her life every day during WWII, being a courier, she spent a great deal of time in France & French was one of her 6 languages. So between us, a great time was had on all 3 visits to Canada. I have nothing but admiration for Canadians. They produce the best hockey players.

Well, ruru, sprite also visited ruby years ago when her husband was still alive. She loved her before then, but refused to allow sprite to revisit when rose and her husband were in France as well. I always post to poster that I am sharing. I limit myself to 'The Share of the Day.' Only the one, almost always political now. Unless I come across something super interesting like the 100+ radioactive dogs that live at Chernobyl. Vets & caretakers are there round the clock - very cool.

When I broke my knee in Sept. I was pescribed Oxycodone-- was horrible-- no sleep, constipation & even hallucinations! BF's sister got me some MJ gummies & they worked great! No pain + pleasant buzz-- also slept fine..

lins - so we have opposite reactions. I've not had oxycodone, I've had hydrocodone. Pretty much the same thing. Bone on bone arthritis in my hip - car vs. bike when I was 15, car won. Anyway, that there was a great buzz, I felt great, highly motivated, tons of energy, none of the terrible stuff you suffered with.

Opticians won't repair specs anymore here, Kate. Nor put old lenses into new frames. The cost they add and that the factories add, makes it as expensive or sometimes more expensive than buying a completely new pair. Crazy, when we should all be doing our best to repair and recycle. But, as with every other item made not to last these days, profit is king and b*gger the future. :(

libs - yes, has high addiction potential, they're working so hard to cut down the prescribing now, that even when it's called for, I can't get it. Had terrible busted ribs earlier this year, I got Tylenol 3. Please. Night & day.

libarebel - Co codamol is probably the equivalent in the UK and I was prescribed a high dose of that to take along with Paracetemol after a couple of operations. The constipation it caused was worse than the pain it was supposed to ease... and so I stopped taking it and put up with the post-op pain.

I have had "oxys" only once in my life. They were prescribed to me when they opened up my ankle to remove a bunch of bone spurs. At the time I had never even heard of this family of drugs. they were, without a doubt, the strongest painkillers that I have ever had in my life in tablet form, and it was a good thing there were not many repeats on it!

Crossy - You're right about them being strong! My second course of them was two weeks after the gall bladder removal . The ones I was one messed with my head so much that I fell backwards down a flight of stairs and dislocated my collar bone. Then I needed more of the damned things.
