bigbirdboss - The 8 you are missing is an R for 40 points. I don't know where it goes relative to the other two Rs though. I also have 3 7s that you don't - A c/36 that goes after the 40 (mine go 36, 48, 40, 36) and an S44 and S40 that go after your 40, I think. My Ss go 40,44,40.
10:05 am

The R 40 goes after the two R 55's.

The first two sound similar but are unrelated. The 5 is used in fishing. The 6 describes a person of particular ethnic descent or the style of cooking this person would do. The other 3 are related and were hinted to earlier twice.
3:12 pm
jlm_mi

parsec - Your post made me realize that there were actually 2 more TO4 words that I hadn't entered, so I now have TO4x6.
3:13 pm

How about As? There's one pesky one I can't find:

3:28 pm

3:50 pm

7:04 pm
MammaJill

They are both r's, one for 55 and one for 40...I have no idea what they mean as I have not found them yet.
7:11 pm
periwinkle

MamaJill, I just found the r/8/55. It is a musical instrument. Lots of kids play it. It starts with the R on the left side. Second row from the top.
8:03 pm
sleeky

The r 8 for 40 is someone who speaks sharply.
8:34 pm
MammaJill

Thanks, got both r8's!
8:37 pm

There's supposed to be another r55 I'm missing...
8:43 pm

8:50 pm

The 7's

A7 28 ... gaseous suspension of fine solid or liquid particles
C7 36 ... more transparent
C7 48 ... companions or associates
C7 40 ... not just black and white
C7 36 ... chemical
L7 36 ... a stand that serves as a support for the notes or books of a speaker
O7 36 ... wildcats
R7 36 ... repaint
R7 32 ... rested/slept on a perch

S7 40 ... one who fires a gun
S7 44 ... what has happened when a circuit is overloaded

=============

missing 2 ... an A40 and 1 other
9:03 pm
sleeky

I think you're missng a c36 - one who paints.
9:12 pm
shortseer

yes. that's what was missing
not missing it any more ;)
thanks sleeky
(but still missing almost half of the other C's)
9:16 pm
inaniloquent

wasn't there an H7 also? or did i read the log wrong?
9:16 pm
sleeky

I'm glad to have something to contribute, for a change! :-)
9:21 pm
shortseer

i thought i read H7 soemwhere in the log, but couldn't find it again when i was compiling my list of all the 7's.
I did see an A40 mentioned in the log.
If i've counted correctly i'm only missing one 7 now ... the A40.
I still have missing H's as well as A's so i can't rule out the possibility of an H7
9:24 pm
inaniloquent

I was going by the 2:11 posting and the replies to it. I'm missing eight H's, which matches the list if there is an H7.
9:31 pm
shortseer

aha
so THAT'S where i must have seen it too

i'll see if i can finish off the H's now
9:36 pm
shortseer

that list of H's ..
there's also an HA5
HA5 ...A white person [from Hawaiian word, meaning foreign, foreigner]
9:50 pm
shortseer

H7 ... one who is employed to tend horses
(i should have got that earlier, seening i have the related O6 word)

And this means there isn't another A7 ... evidently i misread something earlier in the log
11:51 pm
Christine

Is there a second R8/55?? I have the musical instrument.
11:52 pm
inaniloquent

yes there is - it means to note or mark down, again
11:59 pm
Christine

inan... thanks - didn't notice I had it....
