i am gong to try a wad of cotton wool under my lip tonight.

the ankle is doing okay. If I wear Rose's pressure socks all day, there is hardly any swelling. If I don't, things get ugly at the end of the day. So am wearing them every day. And using the TENS machine. It looks like the screws and plate will have to come out in time, they are very painful. But movement is improving every day.

not sure what normal is. Now that the swelling is down, there is only a thin layer of skin over the screws and everything that touches it, hurts. Some people don't have trouble with it, others do. I do. Guess I am lucky that way ;)

yup, sprite. it depends on the position of the screws. mine, for instance. buried deep into the bones yours, however, are more superficial and hence you would be very aware of the pressure from the inside of the screw heads pushing against the under-side of the skin.

exactly. And when something pushes down on that skin, it is very painful. Even when it is just the weight of the foot/leg itself. Ah well, I can manage a third operation. won't be for a while, things have to be fully healed before they will remove things.

I can't begin to tell you how thankful I am we are in a caravan and not in a tent! Things would be miserable in a tent in this weather. I play a slots game on my phone for fun when I'm bored.. its all fake money and stuff... anyway.. i found out on my hotel website they are connected to that app ... that ive been playing for 2 years or so...every time i play i get reward points i can use at any mgm owned casino/hotel in las vegas
