Fun grid!
8:48 am
sprite

The prettiest from this grid for me: the H8/70. Meaning "history considered from a feminist viewpoint or emphasizing the actions of women".
8:50 am
Atalante

I still think that H/70 is the wierdest word ...
9:09 am
sprite

Actually, we were taught that word in class, when I was a school girl, in english lit. *lol* First time it came in handy...
9:12 am
Benjake

How funny...I've heard it, but always as more of a joke than actually seeing it anywhere. Can't imagine actually using it....
9:23 am
sprite

We thought it very unfair to men that there wasn't a male counterpart. ;-)
9:23 am
testing

Isn't history as it is the male counter part? ;)
9:24 am
sprite

*lol*
That was what our teacher said!
10:18 am
Atalante

I think arthrodry should be a word. Sounds funky.
11:42 am
parsec

So for people looking for word clues, here are my long ones so far. I believe many are the same as sprite's, but a few seem different:

A/8/40 one who affirms
C/7/52 negatively charged electrode
C/8/70 plural neg. electrodes
E/7/68 jazzed about something
E/7/64 verb form of the above
H/8/70 feminist term for stuff that happened
S/7/36 the study of stationary bodies
T/7/28 said in the shortest way
T/7/40 things that connect things or hold them down
T/7/44 got together secretly
11:47 am
parsec

Oh, and M/7/56: enigmatic people.

I suck at checking plurals.
11:57 am
testing

OK, I have some others. There are 2x8/A/40 with the same meaning. Then:

8/60/H (comes after the H/70): prisoners of a sort

7/44/H - singular of H above
7/60/R - took someone's money again (government)
7/28/S - organizers
12:49 pm
Benjake

Thanks, parsec and testing. The clues were great!!
1:29 pm
Treble99

Any clues for the 9 please
1:30 pm
EvaNadine

any clues on the M words?
1:39 pm
testing

M words:

think of frankincense (this was in a puzzle a few days ago)
a type of cheese (rarely heard as far as I know)
6/7 combo - enigmatic person/people
1:40 pm
Benjake

M's: one is mentioned at 11:47
One is its singular (6)
One is something Christmasy (5)
The last one has no definition (6 letters)
1:41 pm
Benjake

I'm so ALMOST helpful :-)
1:42 pm

A/9/72, an articulation or joint between bones.
1:42 pm
parsec

sorry, i meant articulationS.
1:43 pm
EvaNadine

i cant believe i didnt see those! DOH! i actually had the cheese, just had no idea what it meant...hehe...
1:50 pm
Benjake

I didn't see any clues for the last 8: S/8/50. Can anyone give a clue for that one?
Thanks for the clue for the 9, btw.
1:50 pm
EvaNadine

its the plural of S7/36
1:54 pm
Benjake

Thanks. I had one, but not the other, S7/36, and finally tried similar words and got the 7 and the 8!! :-)
1:54 pm
parsec

heh, no wonder...I'm missing both =)
1:55 pm
EvaNadine

im still not figuring out the 9, but there are still a bunch of 7s im not getting...(got all the 8s, yay!)
2:20 pm
fit1

OOOOOOOh I love that H8. Thanks for the great clues :)
2:55 pm
testing

Found the big S words!

A clue for the other S/36 (not the stationary bodies one) is that it's a flower, usually used dried. The 8 is the plural of the 7. (The bodies S/36 is a plural of a 6.)
2:57 pm
testing

Oooh - I had tried the first 6 letters of the 9 earlier, but alas it wasn't a word by itself. Thanks for the clue - I probably wouldn't have tried that on my own.
3:11 pm
Benjake

Man. I've got 6 of the O words. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?

For anyone wondering, as I was, if there could possibly be a T/7/40 that comes after that T/7/44, indeed there is. It's a very simliar word to the 44. Or maybe I'm the only one who didn't think to try that! ;)
3:16 pm
Benjake

thanks, fnurt. Not sure how I missed that one when I was trying os words!
3:17 pm
bigbirdboss

Benjake, you're missing an os 5
3:22 pm
testing

A clue for the D/7/36 is "lies".
3:27 pm
testing

I don't have a meaning for the E/7/36, but it might be a plural formed the same way the A/9/72 is.
3:27 pm
testing

Sorry - that's actually for the E/7/40, not the 36.
3:31 pm
Treble99

is there an E7/36
3:31 pm
testing

The entire list of 7s was given at 4:13 am by sprite.
3:35 pm
cjustine

anyone have another clue for either the A/8/40 (one who affirms) or the S/7/36 (dried flowers)?
3:37 pm
Benjake

For the S7 flowers, take the word for what happens when clothes come out of the dryer in winter, and add an e.
:-)
3:39 pm
cjustine

aaha! thanks benjake!
3:45 pm
cjustine

anything on the affirmant? A/8/40
3:46 pm
Benjake

That one's harder to come up with...anyone else feeling creative? :-)

I'm still missing the S7/36,A7/36, and two of the E's(36 and 40). Any clues there?
3:47 pm
Treble99

I have M5/6/7 any help with the missing one

For the other S/7/36, take what comes out of the dryer and add a different letter. ;)

Got a clue for the S/7/40? For the E40 see my 3:27pm clue. I don't have anything better, unfortunately.
3:49 pm

3:55 pm

I've got 7 of the 8 words that use the X, beginning with:

A, E, E, E, R, R, T

Does anyone know what the 8th is?
3:57 pm

One more R (along the same lines)
4:17 pm

Seriously???? I have a 5 and a 7. How many letters is the 3rd?
4:20 pm

Nevermind. I found it. I don't know what it means, but it's 5 letters and not related to the other 2 R words containing x.
