the doctor wouldn't even discuss the surgery on the other foot, thinking that the non-surgical foot had been over-compensating for so long. he thought that, maybe, the foot might heal on its own - i think he was right. follow up appointment in a month or two, and i think i'll be pleased with what he has to say
