I have a friend that has a rescue for chickens that no longer lay eggs.

When you adopt the rescue girls, they aren't guaranteed to lay but we've been lucky. But, and this is when I jump on my soapbox, all hens in egg laying farms here in the uk are sent to slaughter at 18 months of age.

join me please babble friends in a prayer / shout / happy dance for my sister-in-law, who was 4 months into intense chemo for a triple-neg breast tumor when quarantine hit. We just got the news today that after excision surgery she is 100% cancer free and will not need radiation! She has beaten back some incredible odds and we are utterly grateful
