I know very little about religion from a Jewish perspective, and fully believe that everyone is free to worship in their own way but I find it sad that it is believed that the fate of everyone is already decided and sealed at birth.

It is harsh indeed that punishment and sentence is merely held in abeyance to be meted out at some unknown later date unless a lifetime of repentance and prayer can serve to commute your predetermined sentence and punishment before it is carried out.

I prefer instead to live my life as well as I can, to love my beloved the best that I can,my loved ones, friends, fellow men and women well enough that should tomorrow never come, and my day of rekoning is at hand, it will matter not if my long-awaited punishment is administered or if I am instead set free.

Should I live life well enough, I will carry on and live on in the memories of those I have loved and who in turn have loved me.

Perhaps I am saved, or maybe I am alread damned for all eternity, but I choose to believe that love is eternal and that I will never die as long as there is someone left to remember me after I am gone.
