So. Since early November, my son has been telling me that he & his partner & baby won’t be home for Christmas, as she works in retail & can’t get the time off. I was disappointed but accepted it. Turns out that was a ruse. Their plan was to come home, plonk Baby Paul on my doorstep, ring my doorbell, then hide & watch my reaction as I answered the door. Then Boris cancelled Christmas. 😩
