Surprise its raining. Itseems to have rained almost non=stop since september. Yeah, those new-fangled clocks without a tick are for people who love silence. The second hand that ticks is what I loved about the old clock. I could count seconds by the tick. A sweeping second hand just moves smoothly around each minute and isn't the same. I know that sounds so silly, but the tick is comforting - especially after 20 years of having the tick. No tock, just tick...tick...tick... lol!

Hursh - I had a wonderful bird clock, but it kept losing 20 minutes a day as soon as I put it back on the wall where it lived for 20 years. I put it on a table, and it worked fine. I propped it up on a chair, and it worked fine. So, I tried putting it back up on the wall and dropped it. Oops - it broke into pieces.
