When we bought our house, I should have recommended you all buy stocks in Ikea. We pretty much bought everything. Flat pack was an absolute necessity - we live in a three storey townhouse with narrow winding stairs

We will have to have someone come in and unassemble our Sleep Number. No way we can do that. Not sure what we will do with the credenza Mr. Bea made from our old butcher block furniture. Our 12 foot oak dining table has to be un assembled, but at least it is on the lower florr.

The world is divided into 2 different types of people. Those who can assemble flat packs, and the rest of us. My daughter assembled a rattan patio table, 12 chairs & 12 footstools in about three hours. I had been flaffing around with it for a fortnight, getting nowhere. I tip my hat to those people who can assemble flat packs.

I just follow the pictures in the instructions. IKEA makes it particularly easy. I've never had any problem putting anything together.

(Gratuitous Grandma Gloat alert, be warned). I’m laying on a sofa, with a 2 & a half week old grandson dozing on my chest & his 2 year old brother doing a jigsaw at my feet. My cup of happiness is overflowing. Jeez. New babies & toddlers are pure joy.
