I told them-lots of apologies 'we've been given the wrong number'!!! A few years later I saw DEC Quick on TV and he was the head of themurder squad for most of south london!!!

The trick to Wordle is to work with letters you guess right. I would guess the odds of getting the word on your first try are pretty damn long.

yeah, you guess and then if you have a letter in the right spot it's green but a correct letter in the wrong spot is yellow. so you narrow down that way. and the letters you try are grayed on the keyboard so you know what you've tried.

Speaking of which, did you know that Toll House Cookies were invented accidentally. A toll house baker was out of baking chocolate and chopped up some semi-sweet chocolate to make chocolate cookies (thinking the chocolate would melt and mix into the batter). Voila.
